relaxation skills

I believe that relaxation is a skill that can be learned. The mind-body can be trained so that eventually the skill is on automatic pilot. In other words, relaxation becomes an subconscious level characteristic of the person that can be triggered into the conscious level whenever it is needed.

There are, of course, many more ways of relaxing. And you need to find the ones that suit your body, your mind and your lifestyle. You also need to be realistic – if your idea of relaxing is limited to lying on a tropical beach once a year, you must be prepared to accept other methods in the meantime! Relaxation is something we should all be doing on a daily basis for the sake of our health.
