1 - know what you really need
Know
what you really need to support your sense of happiness, fulfilment
and well being. If you dont know what you need then find
out! In the same way that you make time to look after your appearance,
your clothes and your home, give time to answering lifes
big questions.
What makes me happy? What makes me feel fulfilled? What helps
me when things appear to go wrong? If I was ten years older than
I am now, what would I like to have achieved in the past decade?
What brings out my natural goodness and playfulness? What makes
me want to be loving and caring? What are my goals and aspirations?
What gives me a sense of purpose?
Explore the thoughts and actions, people and places that make
you feel good about being alive. It can help to make some written
notes as you go through this process. You could also work together
with a close friend. Take plenty of time - this is important!
When you feel ready, work out how in practical ways, you can bring
the things that you need, or more of them, into your life. Now
actually do it!
