5 - look after your mind
Look after your mind. Be selective about the
type of information and perceptive experiences that you give your
mind. Use personal discipline when it comes to your reading material,
choice of films and TV programmes etc. Avoid idle chatter, especially
about other people. Give your mind a treat by indulging a healthy
sense of humour.
Respect your need for patience and perseverance. A person who
entertains this kind of understanding amid the turmoil of our
competitive chaotic world, will have a mind which sustains vibrant
health and a happy disposition.
Recharge your batteries by sitting in silence once a day to energise
your spirit. The empty vessel is then ready to receive.
And its never too late to learn! Re-new your childhood sense
of spirited curiosity and make learning a life-long experience.
You can learn from young and old alike. Be creative and make it
fun. Without preaching, pass on your knowledge and wisdom by example.
"As I sit on the fence at the crossroads
of life
Looking outward for worldly answers
I am searching in vain for a vision of hope.
As I sit on the fence at the crossroads of life
Looking inside for my own true self
The path and the people are coming into view"
